Verhoek Europe is an international logistics service provider, unique in the transport of long goods, specialising in fine-meshed distribution, international transport, pallet transport and professional warehousing. Our services include efficient and safe transport of long, fragile and indivisible goods, such as carpet rolls, artificial grass, awnings, garden sheds and industrial doors. This means that Verhoek Europe completely unburdens your logistics process.

With more than 70 years of experience, a strong and independent European network has been built up over time. With its own branches in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the Czech Republic and England. Through close cooperation with (long-term) partners, Verhoek Europe is able to relieve customers throughout Europe. Verhoek Europe has 100,000m2 of warehouse space, 750 employees and 350 vehicles on the road every day.

History of Verhoek Europe; from horse and cart to 350 vehicles on the road every day

From horse and cart to a leading logistics provider with 350 vehicles on the road across Europe every day, from small to large(ish)! But what has never changed is our ‘love’ for fragile long loads. Founder Gijsbert Verhoek started the transport of reeds and rushes as a core business in 1953. The logistics service then grew with the transport of imported coir, the main raw material for the local matting industry. From this base, the carpet industry developed and Verhoek Europe played a role in the growth of several carpet manufacturers.

When the growth of the local carpet industry required additional logistics solutions, Verhoek Europe invested in an efficient and reliable European transport network. We now have 12 branches and every day we enjoy and dedicate ourselves to transporting beautiful goods from the manufacturer to the end consumer.

Our European network

Verhoek Europe has a modern fleet of vehicles. Every year we modernise our fleet to meet the specific needs of our clients. The trucks are equipped with the most modern equipment such as an on-board computer, which means we are always in touch with our drivers and have real-time information. This is convenient for us and for you. A large part of this fleet is specially equipped for the transport of rolls, in which carpet and artificial grass play an important part. The warehouse uses specialised (mobile) forklift trucks equipped with a so-called carpet mandrel. This allows us to handle these goods quickly and without problems in our warehouse. We also have part of our fleet specially equipped with advanced loading and unloading equipment. Thanks to our many years of experience, we devise and develop smart and innovative solutions to handle vulnerable goods with the utmost care. Naturally, our employees are trained to handle these fragile products, such as doors with glass, well. At the end customer, our drivers have the option of signing off the shipment digitally via handhelds. Our Transport Management System (TMS) is connected to these various advanced systems, which also makes it possible to share current shipment information directly with you and your end customer. And finally: Verhoek Europe’s vehicle fleet is also a safe vehicle fleet. Transport safety is of paramount importance to us and our vehicles are TÜV certified. This means that they comply with all European safety requirements.

Verhoek Europe is expanding!

Verhoek Europe is further expanding its operations and has taken up residence in the H2O Hattemerbroek business park. Due to the ambition to further grow the XL logistics division, a suitable location has been sought to realize these plans. This location has been found in collaboration with Borghese Logistics at the new H20 Hattemerbroek business park.

Verhoek Europe assists the Ministry of Defence with drivers

Verhoek Europe has entered into a unique collaboration with the Ministry of Defence. By exchanging drivers, the Ministry of Defence is ensured of road-ready equipment.
